On October 1, 2026, the fee for mattress and foundation sales in Connecticut will increase to $19.50 per unit sold. Beginning with the October 2026 reporting period, the reporting portal will calculate your recycling fee at $19.50 per unit sold or refunded.

Sales made prior to the fee change which are expected to be delivered after October 1, 2026 must be included in your July, August or September 2026 fee reports to be calculated at the current rate of $16.00.

Refunds for sales made in September 2026 must be reported at the $16.00 fee collected at the time of sale.

The option to select the proper rate will be available when you submit your October 2026 report.
